Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) held a meeting to introduce the new Regulatory Division Chief, Stacey Barbro, at Louisville’s Air Pollution Control District (APCD) on January 14th, 2015.  As part of the introduction, APCD discussed several regulatory initiatives or changes that the regulated community should anticipate over the coming months and years.  Briefly, the following topics were highlighted:

(1) The State Implementation Plan (SIP): Revisions to the SIP will occur once the new Ozone Standard is in effect.

(2) The “Incorporated by Reference” citations within APCD’s regulations will be updated soon.

(3) APCD is coordinating it’s Stage 2 gasoline pumps requirements with the state Division of Air Quality.

(4) APCD is still planning on combining construction permits and operating permits.

(5) In 2016, APCD will offer online Emissions Inventory Reporting.

(6) APCD is considering a new online tracking system, where permittees can track the status of their permits.

(7) PTE Templates are now on APCD’s webpage.

(8) APCD is training three new employees in their asbestos program.

(9) There are changes in the Emissions Inventory form.
