SMG Industrial Hygienist & EH&S Specialist, Sarah Carty, was recently named the American Society for Safety Engineers’ Safety Professional of the Year for the Louisville Chapter.  SMG is very proud of Sarah and her hard work.  Sarah is an environmental health and safety professional with experience in industrial hygiene surveys and occupational health and safety programs.

Sarah’s undergraduate degree in biology, graduate degree in Public Health and certifications/licenses allow her to assist with both industrial hygiene and environmental remediation projects.  Sarah has also gained hands-on experience through internships with a large mining equipment manufacturer and an international insulation manufacturer.

Sarah has performed several hazard assessments and edited Job Hazard Analyses for a variety of tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Her special interest is in noise and air quality industrial hygiene assessments.
