The 13th Annual Kentucky Environmental Conference is being held in Lexington, KY on February 10-11, 2015.  The conference will focus on Kentucky and federal environmental policies and regulations with information about new environmental compliance mandates.  Smith Management Group will be presenting two different presentations.

SMG’s Patricia Mason will present a Crash Course on SPCC and GPP, where you will learn about:  the latest developments and regulatory requirements for spill plans and groundwater protection plans, who can prepare these plans, how to determine if these plans are applicable to your site, and what information is needed to complete these plans.  Also, learn about effective strategies to manage the requirements for these plans.

SMG’s Kyle Hagen and Josiah Frey will be presenting a workshop EPA’s final regulations and requirements for cooling water intakes at existing power plants and industrial facilities.  Learn more about the requirements and implementing one of the seven options to minimize potential impacts.

SMG’s Scott Smith will be a panelist for the Closing General Session:  EPA, Opinions and the 114th Congress.  The panel will address the EPA’s actions and how the 114th Congress will address those actions.  Receive insights into important issues and what to expect from the 114th Congress concerning the EPA and environmental legislation.
