As you might remember from our Legislative Updates, HB 378 required Division of Water (DOW) to make the TMDL listing process more transparent. Last week, DOW introduced a new webpage that provides information on the process of writing TMDLs, Standard Operating Procedures used for monitoring and assessments, and the current TMDLs that DOW is writing.
In addition, DOW has created a new listserve that DOW will use to send out notifications of the activities taking place in the Water Quality Branch, such as public notices and approved TMDLs. You can join the distribution list by emailing TMDL@ky.gov your name, affiliation, and email address.
